EATOPIA - Pune, The food haven !

PUNE, the cultural capital of Maharashtra, in not only a wonderful place to live in but is also a haven for food lovers who have the opportunity to relish the wide culinary lists from Maharashtrian and North India dishes to Italian, Chinese, Mexican and Continental delights.

A gastronomal experience, Pune has some wonderful and delighting food offerings. From luxury and expensive menus to cheap meals, Pune serves everyone and nobody is left to sleep without a meal either for taste, budget or varieties.
Being a student in Pune, and living next to Koregoan Park during my first year as an MBA student at SIMC I had the chance to visit a variety of different restaurants.

A few of my fovourite restaurants in this side of town include the much visited Malaka Spice which gaurentees its visitors a culinary journey through Southeast Asia. With an elaborate menu ranging from the famous peaking duck to mallay spice noddles, Malaka spice is feast for all the senses. Art is an integral part of the Malaka spice experience and they showcase a range of paintings that one can view and purchase whilst enjoying a delicious meal.

Another lesser known but EXTREMELY delectable restaurants is Il Fungo which is located right next to the famous Malaka spice. It offers the most authentic pizzas in the city. The thin crusted pizzas are no rip off but a true spectacle of Intalian cuisine.
While the setting is not glamourous the food will ensure that you will be licking your fingers till the end !

I would recommend North Main Road for all types of gastronomical experiences whether you want to dine at a 'Silk Route', grab a quick bite from 'Sweet Chariot' , eat a wonderful Indian meal at the 'Great Punjab' or just chill at the 'Germany Bakery'. North main road has it all !!
